Spiritual accompaniment

Spiritual Accompaniment, also known as Spiritual Direction, is a process to help you draw closer to God or express your doubts and struggles with God.  Through time spent with a spiritual companion you can begin to find a deeper awareness of the presence and movement of God in your everyday life.  The companion is a listening and supportive person who creates an environment where you can look honestly at your relationship with God.

Spiritual accompaniment is not counselling. In general, therapy and counselling deal primarily with problem areas of one's life and attempt to bring healthy resolution to issues. Spiritual accompaniment is concerned with discerning and responding to God - in the midst of pain or disorder and joys in all of life. Problem solving is not the primary focus of spiritual accompaniment.

Mandy is happy to discuss this and if it is right for you. Spiritual accompaniment can be a one off session or regularly either in person or online. It would usually be for an hour once every 6 - 8 weeks although it can be more or less frequent. It can be as part of day retreat or overnight stay.
